Dolní Břežany municipality and Prague is connected via regular public city transport. By 2017, the metro line D is expected to reach to Písnice, which is located 3 km far.

Having finished the city ring R1, the distance from the airport takes about 20 minutes; at the same time the highway network is available. The fact heavy trucks are not allowed to enter the village was another criterion why ELI Beamlines selected this locality.

Dolní Břežany – European Capital of science

Dolní Břežany is a growing prospective municipality having a thoroughly developed land-use development plan. Urban adaptations offered a communication axis to interconnect a new and historical municipality center and ELI facility. An impressive center of technology may offer its employees and partners friendly working environment as well as relax services and off-the-job activities.

The sustainable laser

The ELI Beamlines facility is being built on a brownfield site with sufficient infrastructure. According to the current zoning plan, the area can be used for public amenities, science and research. It is therefore a place that provides enough space both for the laser center, as well as for any other building of similar use (technology park buildings, spin-off companies or other research facilities).
