Perspectives of ELI for the European Research Community

The ‘Perspectives of ELI for the European Research Community’ Workshop will be held on May 31st – June 1st, 2016 in the premises of ELI-Beamlines in Dolní Břežany, Czech Republic. The event will be dedicated to the presentation and an open discussion of both the scientific/technical aspects and of the institutional aspects of this unique world-level Research Infrastructure, the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) being implemented in Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic on the basis of the ESFRI Roadmap proposal.

The ELI-ERIC proposal to the European Commission will be presented at the end of the meeting and will take into consideration the indications emerging from the discussions in the meeting. ELI-ERIC will manage and offer open access to the international scientific community. Its development includes the possibility to propose Regional Partner Facilities, building a network of facilities involving all interested Countries in the development of the high-power laser technologies and international user community.
