ELI Beamlines has huge potential for the application sphere. This is the first laser designed particularly for users. Unique research tools of our center with breakthrough parameters will be also opened to potential commercial partners from the entire Europe. We’re going to offer a research time for sale, renting equipment as well as professional labor force, etc.

10% for commercial research

A new generation of compact lasers will find their place in a wide range of industries. Results achieved in the ELI Beamlines research programs will have an impact on a wide range of disciplines from materials science via medicine, chemistry, biology up to physics, of course. All the companies applying these branches´ knowledge as well as other fields of work are welcome. 10% of experimental and research capacities of ELI Beamlines will be devoted to applied contracted research. As to a partner project HiLASE it is even one third.

Commercialization of research based on European know-how

In early 2012, the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer is going to be found – for the purpose of technology transfer and commercialization. Nowadays we’re preparing the launch of all its activities using the wealth of international experience in the commercialization of research and development. For example there’s the EF-TRANS project – and thanks to this project we have the opportunity to become familiar with practical experience of the British centre of excellence GRACE or German INI-Novation. We also collaborate with other leading experts on technology transfer and commercialization. Together with UK Trade & Investment we arrange meetings of representatives of British and Czech companies and exchanging information on the required technologies and applications. And we are also preparing similar events with other countries.
