On March 22, 2022, a delegation of senators from the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions led by Prof. Jiří Drahoš visited the ELI Beamlines and HiLASE research centers in Dolní Břežany. Senators were welcomed by the head of the ELI Beamlines center Roman Hvězda, who also guided them in experimental halls after a short introduction.
The aim of the visit was not only to present the activities and strategy of the research centers, but also to discuss further international and regional cooperation and to accomplish the application potential of both institutions. The way how to integrate ELI Beamlines into ELI ERIC was also mentioned.
