ELI ERIC Welcomes Romania as Founding Observer, Strengthens Ties to ELI Nuclear Physics

Romania received unanimous support as a Founding Observer in ELI ERIC. This decision opens a new chapter in the alliance, laying the groundwork for Romania’s ELI NP facility to integrate into the ELI ERIC organisation over the next three years.

The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI ERIC) will accept Romania as a Founding Observer. The decision was made at ELI ERIC’s 8th General Assembly (GA) Meeting held in Budapest on 13 June. It is an important development in the relationship between ELI ERIC and the ELI Nuclear Physics (ELI NP) Facility Romania is hosting.
