The international Year of Light 2015 officially started in Paris, 19-20.1.2015. The opening ceremony was located in UNESCO building in the centre of Paris, France. Many quests attended the ceremony – Nobel prize laureats, ambassadors, scientists and many more interesting people. ELI Beamlines project was mentioned by Mr. Gerard Mourou in his speach as one of the most interesting project in close future. ELI Beamlines project was represented by Mr. Michael Vích – one of national coordinators for IYoL 2015.
