On the 9th of June, 2016 Vladimir Šucha, the Director-General of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, visited the ELI Beamlines laser facility.
He was welcomed by Jan Řídký, the director of the Institute of Physics, and Georg Korn, the chief scientist of ELI Beamlines. The ELI Beamlines representatives introduced Mr. Šucha the missions of both laser centres and through the virtual reality he could also see all unique ELI Beamlines laser systems. The visit ended with a tour of the ELI Beamlines and HiLASE laser halls and laboratories.
