Over two hundred visitors toured ELI as part of UNESCO Day of Light 2025. The program also included the unveiling of the Elie-T sculpture.

On May 16, we commemorated the 65th anniversary of the first successful laser shot (Theodore Maiman, May 16, 1960, USA) together with more than 200 visitors of all ages.

We prepared a wide range of activities – lectures, tours, and workshops – for both children and adults.

The event also included the unveiling of the Sousedství (Neighborhood) sculpture (Elie-T) near the ELI Beamlines building. The sculpture was created as a symbol of the positive relationship between ELI and the municipality of Dolní Břežany. It was designed by artist Jiří David and is composed of components used in the laser and experimental halls of the ELI Beamlines facility.

We sincerely thank all our visitors and look forward to seeing you again on September 26, 2025, during the 2025 Researchers’ Night.
