HEPTech symposium 2016

The HEPTech Network, a High Energy Physics Technology Transfer Network fostered by CERN (http://heptech.web.cern.ch), has the pleasure to invite you to its 3rd Symposium focused on early stage researchers with entrepreneurial potential in high energy physics and related enabling technologies including ICT, detectors, accelerators, radioprotection, etc.

The Symposium will be held in Bucharest, Romania, from 19th to 25th June 2016 and will be hosted by the Horia Hulubei National Institute for R&D in Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH). The one-week training programme is designed for researchers with adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit, containing topics including: funding of research, promotion and marketing of research results, intellectual property protection, support of start-ups, investor readiness, to name a few. Prominent research experts, technology transfer professionals and industrial players will present the various topics and will share their experience.Exciting social events are envisaged to create a friendly atmosphere and enable networking. Travel and accommodation are free of charge for the participants so take this opportunity and apply!

The HEPTech Selection Committee will evaluate your application and inform you about the outcome by 30th April 2016.

The first and the second HEPTech Symposium were held respectively in Cardiff, Wales (2014), and in Prague, Czech Republic (2015). They received an excellent feedback from the participants who valued their new experience as “life changing” and a “brilliant combination between theory and practice”.
