ICEL 2019

The 3rd International Conference on Extreme Light 2019 (ICEL 2019) was organized from the 21st till 25th October 2019 in Dolni Brezany in the Czech Republic.

The ELI Beamlines mission is to establish unique laser research infrastructure to serve the global community. That means to make available fully its capacity to the users – the unique technology and services associated with that uniqueness of ELI facilities. After several years of construction we are very proud to reach the moment turning the facility in operations it will be clearly lengthy and complicated process however we believe that increasing interaction and increasing engagement of users will make the facility unique also from the scientific perspective.

So far we have organized only separate and to specific topics dedicated meetings. This time we have decided to take the advantage of having the community together and organize a joint user workshop following the ICEL 2019 conference.

We have started the user program this year by opening the first commissioning call for 4 experimental station dedicated to our kHz program. We will continue to implement this strategy and expand to E3 – plasma physics and E4 hall – Ion accelerator from the beginning of next year. All community are invited to participate in these calls.
