Presentation of ELI Beamlines Facility in London

On 17th March 2010, there was a presentation of Czech pillar of ELI in London. The target of this meeting was to inform the participants about new developments which had occurred within the framework of European project ELI in the preceding months and show them detailed scientific, legal and financial aspects of future ELI Beamlines laser infrastructure in the Czech Republic.

Participants to the presentation were representatives of British companies, European embassies in England, CzechInvest and CzechTrade.

There were speeches by Vice Minister of Education Vlastimil Růžička, scientific manager of the ELI project in the Czech Republic Bedřich Rus, executive manager of the ELI project in the Czech Republic Florian Gliksohn and representative of the Institute of Physics Rohlena.

Synergy and close cooperation between ELI and other current important scientific project HiPER were represented by coordinator Mike Dunne.European dimension and importance of both activities was presented by Georg Korn, representative of coordinator of European preparatory phase of the ELI project.

In the past there had been similar presentations in France and Germany, another one will take part in Italy.
