How does the Big Science attract industry?

Today, on the 13th of May, the Centre for innovation and technology transfer organized an annual conference which focused on it „How does the Big Science attract industry“.

The Head of Department of Experimental Programmes Georg Korn introduced the ELI Beamlines workers research applications which are going to be realized at the ELI Beamlines centre in Dolní Břežany. He explained their utilization and industrial potential. For instance his team build compact accelerators for electrons and ions which contribute to the development of detection methods of medical diagnostics.

Then Pavel Bakule from laser team described the industrial exploitation of all four laser systems which are going to be installed at the ELI Beamlines centre. Bruno Le Garrec (Technical Manager) focused on its control system and Aleš Hála (Team Leader of CITT) with Roman Hvězda (ELI Beamlines Project Manager) talked about the achieved aims of the CITT project which focused on transfer technology and commercialization of results of the ELI Bemalines scientists.
